XDefiant error codes and server status (2024)

XDefiant error codes like Tango, Foxtrot, Delta, Mike and Bravo, along with server issues, are currently causing problems for the game. There are 'unplanned issues' across PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X according to the XDefiant service status page, so, what's going on and what can you do about it?

Foxtrot, Bravo, Tango, Mike and Delta XDefiant error codes

Most of the current XDefiant error codes, Mike, Tango, Foxtrot, Bravo and Delta, all refer to server issues, with messages like 'XDefiant services are not available at this time'. As with a lot of new games, servers are always strained at launch and Ubi is currently aware of the issue:

The Foxtrot, Bravo, Tango and Delta error codes appear with a range of numbers like 01, 04 and 10 etc, but all basically mean there are issues connecting to the servers - these are all pre-existing error codes for the Snowdrop engine used by XDefiant, as well as other Ubi games like The Division 2 and Rainbow Six. So while there an't any Xdefiant specific details for them there is information from issues with previous game's which I've listed below.

In the meantime, while Ubi work on the issues for XDeefiant, the main fix currently is to basically keep trying - there's nothing technically broken, just more demand than the severs can cope with.

Quitting and retrying should fix the issue and see you get into a game, so don't wait on an error page for it to resolve. Ubisoft also currently has a page of fairly general fixes and things to check or try if you're having problems:

1. Check the server status
2. Reset your network hardware
3. Switch to a wired connection
4. Enable Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) on your Router

The first two - checking the services and resetting your router are easy enough, and I've got more info on Xdefiant servers below if you want to check that status. Using a wired connection is obviously limited by they physical distance between your console or PC and the router (but it does fix almost all connectivity problems). While checking or enabling UPnP will depend entirely on your router's specific instructions.

As I mentioned, because this is a Ubisoft game, we can look at what these various error codes mean on other Ubi games because they all use the same Snowdrop engine as XDefiant. When you look at these specific error codes previous appearances it's nearly all server connection issues:

XDefiant Mike 01 error code

The XDefiant Mike 01 error code appears to caused by the connection with theserver being lost according to The Division 2 info. There's no specific fix beyond checking the server status and trying the connection trouble shouting guide mentioned above

XDefiant Delta error code

The XDefiant Delta error code is caused by the game being unable to communicate with theserver according to details for The Division 2 and Rainbow 6.

XDefiant Bravo error code

The XDefiant Bravo error code seems to happen when the connection with youraccounthas been lost, according to this Division 2 error. The fix here seems to be to shut down the game and reopen it.

XDefiant server issues

The XDefiant service status page currently lists unplanned issues and a degradation of online services. On PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X problems are listed across Connectivity, Authentication, In-Game Store and Matchmaking, with the issues respectively 'degraded' for Connectivity and 'outage' for everything else.

As I mentioned already it's a known issue, with Ubi working on a fix - so the only solution right now is waiting. For me personally the issues have been minimal, and trying again has fixed things almost immediately.
