The Flood (2023) | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Katie Rife IGN Movies The promising premise loses momentum quickly, thanks to stiff performances and subpar digital effects. The Flood is only tolerable with beers, friends, and low expectations. Rated: 3/10 Jul 17, 2023 Full Review The Flood (2023) | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Rex Reed Observer It’s not dull, you won’t dare doze, and there’s something to be said about a cast of bloodthirsty carnivores in the middle of an actor’s strike. Rated: 3/4 Jul 17, 2023 Full Review The Flood (2023) | Rotten Tomatoes (3) Owen Gleiberman Variety The staging, by director Brandon Slagle, is basic in a competent potboiler way, and the cast is pretty good. Jul 17, 2023 Full Review The Flood (2023) | Rotten Tomatoes (4) Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews The film stands out for its negatives--being unfocused, incoherent and poorly executed. Rated: C- Jul 26, 2023 Full Review The Flood (2023) | Rotten Tomatoes (5) Joseph Robinson Fish Jelly Films (YouTube) Michael Kors would say the surefire way to make something look [__] is to make it short, shiny, and sleeveless. This movie is the equivalent of that. Rated: 0.5/5 Jul 26, 2023 Full Review The Flood (2023) | Rotten Tomatoes (6) Abbie Bernstein Assignment X If one is really, truly in the mood for a killer-alligators-in-a-hurricane flick, The Flood will suffice, but it doesn’t do anything very memorable. Mandy E As far as a Jaws style monster movie, it’s very cliche and there’s not a single surprise the whole movie. It’s all been done a thousand times before. However the worst part for me is the mixing of alligators and crocodiles, using them interchangeably. It’s based in Louisiana where the largest population of alligators is in the world and no one could get footage of them? They had to used stock videos of Nile crocs (in Africa) and bad CGI that move more like dogs than any reptile. How many people approved of this before it was made? Not a single one of them could use google to see what an alligator looks like? Rated 1/5 Stars • Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/28/24 Full Review Koi P It is what is expected. Not a horrible movie, but I didn't find it an enjoyable watch. The crocodiles are the stars. Rated 2.5/5 Stars • Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/22/24 Full Review Ryan B Many laugh out loud moments, too bad it's not ment to be a comedy. Rated 1/5 Stars • Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/12/24 Full Review Neal B By the end, I was rooting for the alligators. Rated 1.5/5 Stars • Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/04/24 Full Review Raiodesol S My one star goes to the attempt of mixing it up when it comes to the usual "big monsters" theme. But it fails to execute almost every single thing it tries.
